#27. MAN ON A MISSION

#27. MAN ON A MISSION

Saturday, the Park is packed. Chilly day but a young Black man wears only black jeans and short-sleeved black t-shirt. He weaves quickly through the crowd, going round and round the fountain. Above his head he holds a three-foot square of cardboard with the handwritten words

FREE ELBOW BUMPS (BECAUSE OF COVID)

Most people look away. Occasionally he gets a taker. Maybe a smile, then a tap of elbows. And he speeds on his way. No time for chat.

Seems a little OCD to me. But why doubt. He must have his reason for making this human connection during the pandemic.
