#52. THEATER OF THE ABSURD

#52. THEATER OF THE ABSURD

I sit and listen.
As people walk by, I grab snatches of conversation and build a little play, “Waiting for No One.” By whom? Albee? Beckett?

                            Curtain up

         “I don’t like this.”

"If I remember correctly, I completely surprised                         him.”

“Oh my! You think of the cane as a third leg.”

“Oh, that’s hilarious!” “That’s actually what                                happened.”

“Let me give the other side of what we’re working on.”

“Whether or not I want to.”

“Yes, I look forward to it. Change, change, change.”

“Next week I’m going to a Brooklyn class!”

                             Curtain down
