#57. ART GOING TO THE DOGS

"The weather was so nice I just had to get out of my dorm,” quoth the NYU student,                     “so I looked around to see what I had to sell.”

Her art as it turns out. Standing at a small table she smiles at all who pass. The tabletop is covered by her mall works, some abstract and whimsical, some representative like a blue convertible or a black stallion. But pasted to the front of the table is her specialty. A portrait of a dog.

“That’s Jefferson. I just love my dog. And I love doing portraits of dogs.
                 Want me to do yours?”

Thankfully, and honestly, I can say I don’t have a dog.

So, I move on to check out the tables of edibles sellers.
